Carry generators, coolers, and other bulky gear behind your RV with this bumper-mounted cargo carrier. You don't need a hitch to install it, you can expand it to carry more gear, and you can fold up if you need a little extra space for parking.

No matter how big your RV is you'll likely have gear you'd prefer not to store inside. This carrier lets you transport generators and fuel cans, so your storage compartments don't smell like gas. You can also strap coolers, luggage, and other bulky objects on it to free up space inside your RV. Lastly, it's great for carrying wet, dirty, or smelly items outside of the RV, keeping your interior clean and odor free. It has raised side rails that help prevent your gear from sliding off and provide multiple anchor points for a cargo net, bungee straps, or other tie-downs (sold separately).
Most RVs don't have hitches installed, so if you want to use a cargo carrier, you'd have to install a hitch receiver. However, this cargo carrier mounts on your RV's bumper, so you don't need a hitch to carry your gear. It's also designed to provide better load distribution across your bumper than a hitch-mounted carrier.
When the carrier is not being used, you can fold it up against the back of your RV. This is convenient if you need a little extra space at the campsite, if you're travelling but not carrying any gear at the time, or if you're parking close to a fence, a shed, or a garage. To fold the basket up, just remove the snapper pin from each arm assembly, fold the rack up toward your vehicle, then reinsert the pins through the holes in the top of the mounting brackets.
The carrier is easy to install. Just slide the mounting brackets over your RV's bumper, spacing them 17-5/8" apart (inside edge to inside edge), and secure them with the included M10 hex bolts. Attach the main arm assemblies to the mounting brackets with the included M16 hex bolts. Attach the basket to the main arm assemblies with the included M8 carriage bolts. The included support brackets mount to most RV frames to reinforce your bumper and prevent metal fatigue that can cause your bumper to detach.
If you outgrow the carrier later on, you can add an extension to increase its width. A 24" extension will make the carrier 84" wide. To install the extension, place the mounting brackets an additional 24" apart on the bumper, unbolt the junction between the left and right side of the basket, and bolt the extension between them.

The overall quality of the product is good! Box weight was 66 pounds, so there is plenty of steel to support a heavy load. Assembly took maybe 20-30 minutes. Hinges are very strong and articulate quite well for no bearings. Haven't loaded this up yet, but it doesn't flex a bit when I stand on it (200 lbs). The product had some paint scratches, which I guess is to be expected since this was shipped across the country. A little touch-up paint will fix that. Note the product is not powder-coated, its just spray painted. Worthy of 5 stars had the paint been better quality.
This was the easiest assembly and installation i have ever done! 30 minutes from unbox to taking pics. Love the product, well built and looks great too. Cant wait to use it on our next trip.

I have to modify the brackets because I have a 5x5 inch bumper
The carrier is solid and well made. It is a nice addition to my Highland Light travel trailer. I installed the support brackets into the 8 inch I-beam. If you want to save a lot of time and effort, I recommend getting a couple of 9mm drill bits made for hard metal, the supplied drill bit was inferior and good for only one hole. Other than that minor inconvenience, it was a straight forward install and it's a solid piece of equipment. I also attached my spare to the underside as shown.
Looks well-built easy install had a tough time with the bumper supports my trailer had welded brackets in the way but made it work. Overall, would highly recommend this product. Great customer service had some missing parts Lauren sent them to me very quickly. Thank you, Lauren!!!
The carrier it self is good. The hardware that comes with the bumper supports is terrible.
yesterday I finally put the cargo carrier on our camper, it didnt take 30 minutes to install, easy instructions to follow, was surprised the kit included the bumper supports which is a plus to give extra support to the bumper. Its made very durable in strength, Im happy with your product I got, no problems with it, so to conclude, keep having great products you sell, hope to purchase underbelly compartment storage tray in the future, thank you .
Very well built and strong. Easy to assemble and install. Very good rack for bumper mount. I have a generator sitting inside the cage and a lot of other items fit as well. It holds a lot of items and weight.
Very happy with the racks performance. However, the drill bits provided for installation could be improved. I had to utilize my personal drill bits to complete the installation.
I like: Bolt-on desgin. Carrier folds up when not in use. Carrier is bult stout. One can easily mount their spare tire on the bottom of this carrier since the carrier will often interfere with the normal spare tire bumper mount location.
I don't like: The burden is on the Buyer to determine if their stock trailer bumper can handle the increased load. There is a warning buried in the notes section of the carrier description but I wonder how many Purchasers end up destroying their bumper since most trailer bumpers are thin-walled and meant only to store sewer hoses. Carrier attachment points are not a tight grip on my upgraded trailer bumper (Mount-n-Lock Heavy-Haul'r Standard 4-inch Replacement Bumper). There is a gap between the inside of the cargo clamps and the outside of the bumper that allows the cargo carrier to droop (sag). I had to add shims to this space to partially correct the droop.

Our experience with etrailer has been first class from start to finish. The product itself was easy to assemble, well thought out and very strong. We are extremely happy with it. We have a short driveway and as you can see the rack folds right out of the way.

Etrailer always does a good job for me. This is a reasonable way to get some extra carry space. I just installed it yesterday and it is just what I wanted. I'm only going to put a gas fire pit and a honey wagon on it so total weight will only be a couple hundred pounds. I don't know if my mount for the spare is a good idea or not. If not I will move it underneath. The bumper supports that come in the package are a must. They take longer to install than the rack.

. I would love to tell you that carrying the spare tire that way is safe to do, however I cannot. I am concerned that the heavy-duty zip ties might not hold up or hold up over time. I recommend moving it underneath as you had mentioned. We do have a spare tire winch that you can take a look at. It is part # LC159056. With it, it is recommended to also have part # 165649, part # LC1315411 and part # LC119226. The rack looks great installed!
The 24x60 etrailer Cargo Carrier for RV Bumper-Steel- Folding - 500 lbs Item the carrier is now over 1 year old and a great addition to our travel trailer. I did install a pair of bumper supports as it is only attached to the bumper, which is only welded to the trailer frame, if the weld breaks you can lose it while driving down the road. The other thing I did was add a pair of trailer directional lights on the cargo carrier. First it does extend out 2 feet from the back of the trailer and if you put something tall in the carrier it can cover one of the directional/brakes lights on the back of the trailer. Those two additions definitely give you peace of mind in not causing a roadway accident.
I received this in 3 days via UPS. The finish is good where it hasn't been worn off in shipping. Something should be done to protect it better. All hardware was included and bolt holes aligned well. All 4 of the plastic frame plugs were broken also. Must have been dropped several times at least. One tang of the 2 part shelf was bent and needed to be bent back 1/8 inch so the square attachment inserts would align. It came with a bumper reinforcing kit but it's not clear whether I need it or not, it's not mentioned in the main instructions but comes with it's own. Upon going online I guess(?) I need it so il. Have to take the rack off again, drill my frame and mount these brackets and put the rack back on. Needs a reference to it in the main instructions to prevent having to do this twice. One small paragraph would save a lot of confusion and rework.

It does sound like the package went through a rough trip. I do know that you do need the bumper reinforcing kit and I will pass along the feedback regarding the instructions.
Did the bumper supports my way. Bolted through both sides of the frame. It was easier for me and seemed to me stronger. The cargo carrier was a breeze and fits nice. Took my time to work on aligning for carrier & spare tire for even weight distribution. It’s going to get more use for off the grid camping.

I have a class C jayco. With the factory mounted bumper and the towing hitch all mounted to the chassis frame, there is no way to utilize the included extra support brackets. Because of that, I am not satisfied that the rack simply mounted to the 4” bumper without the extra support brackets is sturdy enough and I would never load the rack anywhere near your rated weight limit. If I did, I suspect I would find the rack, it’s contents, along with my bumper laying in the highway. In order to load the rack with anything significant, I will have to come up with some support design, and fabricate it myself. I like the rack itself and it’s design, but just not ideal mounting for my rig.

Love it. That said, the zip ties all broke in shipping, heavier ties would have helped that. Consequently, there was some minor damage. The instructions are a little lacking. Some tips would be helpful, such as not tightening all bolts until assembled. We returned a different tray to buy this one. The material is not too light, it'll last a good long time. The generator, fuel cans and propane tanks fit well.

Our bumper got twisted. I Moved the brackets out and added an additional bracket in the middle. Not the fault of the carrier. A little heavier bumper would not have twisted. Not big damage, everything still works.
So the rack is definitely stout! Almost to stout for a front mount! It’s HEAVY when fully assembled! Would have liked it to be a top mount on the bumper so it’s not such a lean on the bumper! The additional bumper brackets are definitely a plus! But it came with 20 bolts and nuts for a universal fit but no self tapping screws for my rectangular bumper frame! Will re view after next trip in September! Going deep into white horse and our ranch which is pretty messed up after the last storms in AZ! Only reason for the 3 star is because the bonus bumper brackets do me no good without the right hardware!If it holds up will update to five star! Will post additional pics after trip!

So far so good! Paints holding up! Racks holding up! After a year of use would definitely buy again or recommend! Directions on support brackets are horrible! Had to buy all new hardwood to make support brackets actually work and work well! Extra $4!
This cargo carrier was a very simple install and a very robust build. 3 of the 4 plastic end caps were damaged during shipment and not usable but other than that worth the $$$.
Really like the cargo carrier. Allows me to use the hitch for towing a car and then load an e-bike and a cooler (about 120 lbs total) The metal support brackets used to reinforce the carrier with the bumper do not fit my Chateau RV
Excellent purchase, fits our Thor Freedom Elite 26HE bumper perfectly.
I do wish you would sell storage containers that custom fit it.

Very well built and easy to install. Now we can load our generator and gas cans on our new cargo carrier to free up space in the bed of our truck. You will need some smaller drill bits to drill a pilot hole first when attaching the brace to the frame.

Great addition to my camper. I am able to go boondocking with my generator on the new rack.It was a eazy install too.
I gave this product a #4 rating instead of a five only after asking multiple questions and being assured this product would fit my 2020 Keystone Cougar the product arrived in Wyoming as advertised and in good shipping condition. Question one was: Is this product made by E-Trailer, the answer was yes, the product showed up with made in China Stamped on the box. I opened it and inventoried parts all were present and in good shape.
The major problem was when Starting to mount on Friday afternoon, I discovered, and had not discussed the fact that I only had 2 3/4" clearance and the mounting brackets were 4"Tx4"W.. I contacted E-trailer about the situation Saturday Morning and received an answer back 1st thing Monday morning that because of the pictures I sent along with my problem that they would be happy to send a UPS return tag and give me a full refund. However, after reading some reviews I had convinced myself that they would not send a shipping tag and it would cost as much as purchase price to send it back. Over the weekend after some thought, I elected to heat the back side of the brace and bend it out far enough to gain clearance. The bracket dropped into place and I was able to bring it back into shape with the aid of a C clamp. Unfortunately I will not be able to raise it when not in use but for my application that is not necessary and by removing two clips and two bolts it is easily removed. Also I purchased from Harbor Freight a truck bed receiver extender for $53 and was able to cut it down for additional support due to the heavy load I anticipate to carry. Buyer beware, make sure you have enough clearance to install brackets! Product is very strong and was everything else as advertised. Service response has been excellent! Check out pictures below.
